Description of the Firm
Afik & Co. law firm was established January 2007, and supplies, with a team of about 10 people and with external experts, legal and business services in a wide array of fields, aiming at providing its business clients with a one-stop legal shop.
The commercial department focuses on corporate law (day-to-day legal advise to businesses), antitrust, banking, capital markets, financial derivatives, investments, mergers and acquisitions, securities, high-tech, license and distribution agreements and tax law.
Additionally, the firm works, in cooperation with experts in the field, in the preparation, assimilation and enforcement of internal compliance programs, whether for antitrust of for securities purposes.
The litigation department centers on complex commercial claims, public law, corporate disputes, shareholders disputes, freeze of proceedings, rehabilitation of corporations, banking claims, defamation and international disputes, whether at court or in arbitration in Israel and outside of Israel.
The real estate department focuses on guiding and representing clients in all real estate law fields, including lease purchase or sale transactions (whether from contractors or second hand) of apartments, land parcels or offices. The firm also manages transactions for buildings strengthening and refurbishing as part of the Israeli "TAMA 38" plan and combination deals. Additionally, the firm assists in transaction outside of Israel in collaboration with local firms.
The intellectual property department focuses on guiding and representing businesses and individuals in all areas of intellectual property law, including patents, trademarks, designs, copyrights, commercial torts, trade secrets, Internet law and representation in claims for infringement on intellectual property in the various courts and before the Patent Office. The firm also provides registration services and protection of intellectual property rights around the world with the assistance of patent attorneys and experts in Israel and outside Israel.
In the white collar crime field, the firm focuses on representation in economical crimes, including antitrust and securities.
